HOW-TO GUIDE

Downgrading d3kOS

If a recent update caused issues, you can roll back to a previous version.

Before you start: Downgrading is a manual process — it requires reflashing your microSD card. Your cloud data (voyage history, settings) on T1 and above is not affected.

Steps to downgrade

  1. 1
Go to the download page and select a previous version

Visit /download and look for the "Previous Releases" section. Select the version you want.

  2. 2
    Download the image (.zip file)

The download is a compressed disk image. Save it somewhere on your computer you can find it.

  3. 3
Flash the image to a fresh microSD card

Use Raspberry Pi Imager (recommended) or Balena Etcher. Select the .img file from inside the zip.

  4. 4
Swap the microSD in your d3-k1

Power off the Pi, remove the current card, insert the freshly flashed one.

  5. 5
    Power on

d3kOS starts at the selected version. The setup wizard runs automatically on first boot.

  6. 6
Re-pair the app (T1 and above)

Visit /pair-device to restore your cloud data.
