The PiCAN-M HAT is the direct-mount alternative to the CX5106. It connects to the Raspberry Pi GPIO header and provides a native CAN bus interface for NMEA 2000 networks. Ideal for permanent helm installations where USB reliability is a concern. Includes a DB9 connector for direct backbone connection. Fully supported by d3kOS and SocketCAN.
