So nobody feels like they landed in the wrong place. Everything was fine. And now we are asking you to register again. We would be annoyed too. So before you click away, give us two minutes — because the reason we are asking, and what you actually get on the other side of it, is genuinely worth your time.
We updated how registration works. The old process has been retired and replaced with something that ties your account directly to your d3kOS Pi. If you have your Pi running at home, the whole thing takes about sixty seconds. And once you are in, you unlock features that make the Pi dramatically more useful — especially when you are away from the boat.
What You Actually Get
Registration is what activates the d3kOS mobile companion app. Once your account is linked to your Pi, a whole set of features that were previously only available at the helm open up on your phone — wherever you happen to be.
The one people talk about most is Fix My Pi. If your Pi goes quiet while the boat is at the marina and you are nowhere near it, you open the app, tap Fix My Pi, and it runs a full remote diagnostic. It figures out what is wrong, applies the fix, and reports back to your phone. No driving to the dock, no laptop, no SSH session at midnight. It handles software issues, configuration drift, servicngs that used to mean an unplanned trip to
the boat. It is probably the single feature t time you use it.
Live boat monitoring is the other one peoplehe app and you are looking at your boat’s
engine temperature, battery voltage, GPS posin real time — streaming directly from the
Pi, from anywhere with a signal. It is genui glance at your phone during dinner and know
everything is fine aboard.
Find My Boat comes with that. Your Pi keeps ssel’s position, so you always know where she
is — even if the marina moved her, or the an took her out. One of those features that
sounds like a nice-to-have right up until th
Beyond that, your Chart Room opens up — a clur Pi has logged, accessible from the app and
downloadable as a PDF. Great for maintenance, or explaining to your crew why you
actually knew where you were going the wholehere too, where d3kOS owners mark local
hazards, anchorages, and useful waypoints fon from people who were actually there.
How the New Registration Works
The new process starts on your Pi, not on thshboard, go to Settings, and tap Get
Registration Code. Your Pi will display a QR the QR code with your phone camera, or click
the link if you are already on a laptop, and the registration page on AtMyBoat.com. Fill
in your name and email, set a password, and
Once you verify your email, you are in — and your account. There is no separate pairingstep. The registration code you used to sign up is what makes the connection, so by the time you click the
verification link in your inbox, everything p will be waiting for you.
The whole process — registration, verificatined to take less time than it took to read
this post.
A Note For People Who Had an Account Before
If you registered before our recent changes, you do not need to create a new account. Log in as usual, then scan your
Pi’s registration QR code from Settings or fxisting account will be linked automatically
and you will be taken to your account page td voyage history are still there, exactly as
you left them.
Your Pi does need to be running and connecte this, so it can issue the registration code.
Once that is done, you are fully set up unde lost.
Welcome back. We are glad you are here.
