How do I install d3kOS on a Raspberry Pi 4B — complete beginner guide?

    I just got my Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB and the PiCAN-M HAT and I want to get d3kOS running from scratch. I have never set up a Pi before. Where do I start?

    I have read the README on GitHub but I am not sure if I need to flash the SD card first or if there is a pre-built image I can download. Also — do I need to connect the Pi to a monitor and keyboard for the initial setup or can I do it headless?

    Any step-by-step guidance would be appreciated. Happy to document my experience once I get it working so others can follow along.
