Last weekend on Georgian Bay my coolant temp was climbing slowly — only 3 or 4 degrees above normal, nothing that would have triggered an alarm.
I asked the d3kOS AI: “My coolant temp is rising slowly at cruise RPM, raw water intake is clear, no alarm yet. What should I check first?”
The AI said: check the impeller in the raw water pump. I pulled into a calm spot — three of the five blades had broken off. I would have had a serious overheat within another 20 minutes.
Replacement impeller was in my spares kit. Back underway in 45 minutes. Post your own AI-assisted wins here.
